Tribute L-2000
Leos L serie basser, startede som en videreførelse af hans Music Man designs, og med to Humbucker pickups tilbød G&L noget på det tidspunkt, som ikke fandtes hos MM. L serien har siden starten fået sit eget liv, og både L-2000, og L-2500 (5 str) er blevet manges favorit bas, og i høj grad en bestseller i Tribute serien.
G&L er Leo Fenders sidste livsværk, skabt på erfaringerne fra Fender og Music Man, og designet i Leo’s workshop, på Fender Avenue 2548, i Fullerton, CA. Stedet hvor de første Music Mans blev bygget, og siden alle G&L USA modeller. Den lille fabrik kører stadig på højtryk, og Leo’s værksted står, som da han forlod det. Tradition og håndværk forenet. I am a big fan of Indie Guitars. I own the British Indie 6 string version of the Rickenbacker 330 (I used to own the real thing back in the 60s) and it is just as good as the original. I wish I had purchased both the 12 string version, and the ITK bass guitar as well.
I also live in Cornwall Ontario Canada, where the new owner of Indie Guitars has his business, and although they have a limited selection of models, they still make beautiful guitars.
