The Mudhoney distortion was our first shot at making a great, all-round distortion box. That´s how most owners have described it - it just plain works for a lot of different music styles and they haven´t found a similar sound in many other pedals. In fact, there´s a story about a player that bought and sold six Mudhoney´s, before realizing that the pedals he replaced it with weren´t doing it for him, so he got the seventh one – and kept it.

Slide on a FretWrap to effectively cut overtones and sympathetic resonance during recording, live performance, two-hand tapping, or any creative situation where you need that extra muting hand for cleaner takes without the unwanted string noise or ringing. A little over 40 years ago, largely because we could not afford to buy a high quality electric guitar, and partly because we enjoyed a challenge, my Dad and I decided to make an electric guitar. I designed an instrument from scratch, with the intention that it would have a capability beyond anything that was out there, more tunable, with a greater range of pitches and sounds, with a better tremolo, and with a capability of feeding back through the air in a "good" way - i.e. in a self-sustaining mode.

The Replica is built with high-quality European components and Danish craftsmanship; we are happy to say that we have achieved a new level.
You will discover two different modes, ¨Vintage mode¨, where the repeats are passed through a compressor/expander circuit, which makes the sound smooth and dynamic.
This circuit was used in the first generation of the Replica.
Revolutionary Sound Engine
At the core of the Legend One series is the Legend Soul Engine, powered by Viscount's proprietary TMT (Tonewheel Modeling Technology) and HDS (High-Definition Sampling). These technologies provide authentic organ tones, including detailed recreations of iconic models such as the B3 (1938), C3 (1955), A100 (1961), and more.
